Bullwork Launches BEAST 9696 E, India’s Most Powerful Electric Tractor

Bullwork Mobility created a major buzz on Day 1 of EXCON 2025 with the official unveiling of the BEAST 9696 E, which the company claims is India’s most powerful and technologically advanced electric tractor.

Engineered entirely from the ground up, not retrofitted or derived from an existing platform, the BEAST marks a major milestone for India’s growing electric farm machinery sector.

The launch was announced by Mohammed Adnan, Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Leader at Bullwork Mobility, who described the moment as “a revolution built with conviction” and the culmination of four years of intense R&D and product engineering.

A Ground-Up Electric Tractor Built to Lead, Not Follow

The BEAST 9696 E is built on an all-new electric architecture developed in-house by Bullwork Mobility. Key highlights include:

  • Patented 60 kW dual-motor drive system

  • Massive 96 kWh battery pack

  • Fast-charging capability — 0–100% in about 2 hours

  • Best-in-India lifting and hauling capacity

  • Drive-by-wire and autonomous-ready features (as per the company’s spec sheets)

  • Smart work modes, e-shifter with 3-speed modes, and e-ADDC technology

According to information available on Bullwork Mobility’s website, the BEAST is designed to offer up to 80% lower operating costs compared to diesel tractors, driven by the elimination of fuel expenses and reduced maintenance.

The company claims potential savings of up to ₹3 lakh annually for heavy-use farming or utility operations.

The BEAST is also positioned as an automation-ready tractor, featuring smart traction control, thermal-managed power systems, and advanced electronics built for long-duty cycles.

A Massive Engineering Effort Behind the Scenes

The development involved:

  • 2600+ vendors evaluated globally

  • Top-tier suppliers onboarded through strategic deals

  • 10+ major engineering systems developed from scratch

  • 4 years of design, testing, validation, and supply chain optimization

Adnan highlighted that the BEAST was built through “sleepless nights, redesigns, test failures, supply chain battles, and performance-to-cost optimization” a journey that shaped the machine into what Bullwork calls its most ambitious product yet.

Key engineering leaders driving the project included Hemanth Kumar, Vinay Raghuram, Sriharsha Sheshanarayana, and Navya N, whose coordinated oversight across R&D, design, testing, sourcing, and production has been described as “world-class.”

A Launch That Comes at a Critical Time for India’s EV Farm Sector

According to recent research by ICCT and JMK, India has not yet seen significant adoption of electric tractors, with zero registered e-tractors in the country as of FY 2024–25. Despite clear benefits—lower emissions, reduced noise, and drastically lower running costs—high upfront prices and limited charging infrastructure have slowed adoption nationwide.

Against this backdrop, the BEAST 9696 E is positioned as a breakthrough product for an underpenetrated segment. With its high-performance architecture and automation-ready capabilities, Bullwork Mobility aims to push India ahead in an industry still in its early stages.

India Is Not Catching Up. India Is Leading. — Bullwork Mobility

The company emphasized that the BEAST is not just a product but a statement of India’s EV engineering capabilities.
“India is not catching up. India is leading. The future is electric.” Adnan said during the unveiling.

Bullwork Mobility, which also works on electric loaders, autonomous vehicles, and utility EVs, is betting big on electrifying agriculture, warehousing, material handling, and mobility across sectors.
